so much stuff to do, so little time...

okay there is plenty of time if you dont what to have a life.  there is plenty of time to do homework if thats all you ever what to do, on the weekdays and on the weekends.  books to be read, projects to be done, papers to write, tests to study for, and of course all that other homework, the math assignments, the spanish workbook pages, the vocab quizzes and everything else the teachers feel like assigning.

"this is what it is going to be like in college" "we have to prepare you for college" "when you are in college your professors might teach like this" well im not in college right now, im still a senior and im sick of hearing this is how its going to be next year because its not next year its this year and im not in college, im still in high school so why cant they just let off on the homework, papers, projects and tests!?!? if i dont have a test to study for, i have a paper to write, and if i dont have a paper to write i have a book to read and if i dont have any of those i have a project and on the rare occasion i dont have any and i just have a bunch of little assignments from all my classes.  however, thats very unlikely, what is more likely is me having more than one on the same day like today, i already wrote a paper, did my math homework, my worldviews homework, and my life skills homework, and i still have to study for my forensics test, (so what am i doing writing this? im venting) and tonight is a light homework day.

lets start the end of the year count down right now!!! 3 quarters and 1 day left ...

How do you know school has started again?

  • When you are rudely awaken by your alarm clock
  • When it takes you 25 min to go 5 miles down Ladue Rd.
  • When there are teachers directing traffic in the parking lot for the 7th grade mothers
  • When in every class you hear the same thing...the rules, the grading policy, and expectations
  • When you get homework due tomorrow

                              AND FINALLY...

  • When everyone around you is wearing jeans when it is 106 degrees outside

Summer...

It's finally here, what everyone has been looking forward to since it ended.  The time of being lazy, of forgetting what you learned the past 9 months.  The time to spend with friends and family.  Time to clean up the room (again) and yes time to work on the house.  Some things never change...

If anyone wants to help dig a really big hole in my backyard let me know!!!

By the way Florida was awesome, we went on a sailboat ride (only $40 for 3 hrs and you get to go snorkling), i went parasailing again this time my sister went to, we did waverunners and spent time on the beach.  Oh and we played a lot of double dash because my brother and his girlfriend bought a gamecube in Florida.  Oh yeah, we also went to the Factory Outlet and yes i went shopping (did I say shopping?) at the underarmour store and got a lot of stuff.

Here are some Florida pics:

we also saw dolphins on the sailboat ride

time to go snorkling!

never to old to make sand castles!

FINALLY!!!

Today was AMAZING!!! for the first time in school history, soccer finally has a district championship!!!  last year we had a good chance to win but we lost to john burroughs in the championship game.  they scored in the last 5 min.  today we got a rematch with them.  we had many opportunies to score but couldnt find the back of the net.  they had some chances that were close, but because of a great defense and keeper we were able to keep the game at 0-0.  the end of regulation came and we went into overtime.  (the first time we played them this season we also went into overtime and we won off a great headball.)  this time we had a great chance right after the whistle blew but couldnt get a shot off.  burroughs also had a few good chances.  finally we got control of the game and were able to work the ball up to their 18.  a cross was sent to the far post but our mid couldnt get a head on it, another mid crossed it back in front and our forward headed it in.  it was like slow motion watching the keeper jump and the ball sail over her hand and into the net.  it was amazing! our next game is tuesday :)
